As the light is stricken from our eyes
as if a cloth were hung from our eyes
we bring forth melancholy.
As though a limb were torn from our body
we surmise that we are solitary.
We stay with this emotion
till the vivid light restores the paradisiacal emotions
as we realize that we can’t live without the sun's almighty brightness.
Wow; this was a very well written piece, and I can see you put some thought into it. Your word choice is fantastic, and overall the poem made me think. Keep up the good worK!
